How important a high defination dash cam is?

Aoedi‘s reliable, award-winning 4K dash cam records everything in and around your vehicle. I wish I had this when I got hit by a car not too long ago.

I never realized how important a dash cam was until I actually needed one. Ironically, I spent countless hours last year scrolling through Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, watching countless terrifying, eye-opening dash cam videos of crazy car crashes, traffic accidents, car break-ins, and other car-related events. While many of these videos certainly amazed me, I don’t believe I would install a dash cam in my car because I wanted to know if I really needed one. Well, I soon found out what I had done.
A few months ago, a driver hit the front of my car in a parking lot and drove off because I couldn’t get their license plate number and didn’t catch the incident on camera, leaving me in limbo when it came time to come up with $1,000 when filing an insurance claim. It was after this upsetting and costly incident that I decided to trust all the signs and consider investing in a dash cam that was easy to use, affordable and super reliable. I certainly don’t want to find myself in this predicament again, and after doing some research I was surprised at how affordable dash cams are.
DVRs have been around for a long time, and the ones sold today are equally modern and effective. The best products you can buy can capture multiple views at once (inside, outside and rear) and record all the events around and inside your car, save them and have them ready to share in case you need them.
While there are many dash cams you can buy, few brands have as many rave reviews as Vanture. After some background research and reading in-depth reviews of all the different dash cams, I decided to try the Aoedi N4 3-Channel 4K Dash Cam and see if it lived up to the many 5-star reviews. I needed a camera that would capture 360 degrees of my car and help me feel confident and safe on the road.
What I immediately liked about the Aoedi N4 4K 3-Channel DVR is how easy it is to install in my SUV. I was able to get everything assembled and ready to go on my own in about forty-five minutes without relying too much on the manual. And if forty-five minutes seems too long, it wasn’t assembling the camera that took the most time; It connects the rear camera wires to the front of the car, but all it takes is a little patience and ingenuity and from there it’s pretty simple.
After I installed and turned on the indoor/outdoor and rear cameras, I took out the dash cam and spun it around to get a good idea of the image quality. I immediately noticed the sharpness of the 4K image in the footage. From license plates, road signs, distant vehicles – you name it – everything is very obvious, clear and easily recognizable in the frame. If you’re worried about not being able to take the pictures you might need, don’t worry: the footage from your dash cam is stored on a memory card. You’ll need to buy a memory card ranging from 32GB to 256GB for your dashcam since Aoedi doesn’t offer memory cards, but you can buy one from Aoedi or find any number of different reliable memory cards on Amazon.
Even at night, the image on the DVR is crystal clear. Although I haven’t used it yet, the camera also has a built-in gravity sensor that can detect and record glitches, as well as lock recorded video to prevent it from being lost or overwritten. With this nifty feature, you won’t have to worry about your camera losing footage that you might need to access later, like an insurance claim or a police report. Even the audio from the camera is recorded very well, but you can mute the audio if you wish.
What I appreciate most about the Aoedi N4 4K 3-Channel Dash Cam is that it allows me to drive with peace of mind, letting me know I don’t have to worry while driving. Since my accident a few months ago, I’ve become more wary of drivers around me, but I know that if something untoward happens, I’ll have reliable video to back up my claim in case I’m not at fault.
In my opinion, it’s better to spend about $200 on a dash cam that will last for years than to spend $1,000 on an insurance claim that you’ll hopefully avoid if you invest in a dash cam. I’ve been there and done that, and I can tell you that a dash cam is worth the investment.
